To Long Beach Island: Masahiro Tanaka, David Robertson.
Minor Adjustments before first series:

Chesapeake Bay picked up Jesse Biddle(RP), Ken Giles(RP) and dropped Andrew Chafin(RP), Trevor Cahill(RP).

Blake Trienen was top closer and could provide trade bait if season is as expected.  Pleased with reach on Flaherty in 3rd round.  Not pleased with reach on McFarland, Chafin, and Cahill.  Bad picks with Chafin and Cahill who then dropped.  Nice value in Fields, Pederson, and Plawecki.  View Baez has steal of draft in 14th round.  Very old team with injury problems.  Looking like the beginning of the end with this group.

Matt Olson has a 99 home run range was a go for it selection with Alex Wood in first round.  Reach on Wilson, Iannetta, and Herrera were not good picks.  Nice picks with Delgado and Hill late for a SP.  Great pick with Hader and Happ.  Hader was our sleeper pick. Offense looks strong but pitching looks a bit behind compared to others.

Became first team in ABL history to redraft a player that wasn't kept in the first round.  Cats had one less pick due to IP's from 2016 and went with the pitching .  Reach on Hazelbaker, Bruce, and Polanco were not good picks.  Nice picks with Melky and Saladino late.  Poor pick with Wood and Rodriguez and then dropping him.  Pitching looks strong but offense looks a bit behind compared to others.

First time having 1/1 pick and went with Correa over Bryant due to his position.  Reach on Martinez and Fiers so early.  Nice picks with Soria and Peralta after the break.  Poor pick with Ramos and then dropping him.  Expect tough season unless pitching is upgraded.

Decent draft for not having a first round draft pick.  Big trade with Ocracoke netted some big time players in Lucroy and deGrom.  Reach on Duke and Smith in 4th and 5th rounds.  Nice picks with Neshek and Hughes in 7th round.  Poor pick with Suzki and then dropping him.  Expect to compete for division crown.

5/50  Jason Grilli  RP
6/50  Bryan Pena  C
7/70  Scott Feldman  SP
7/72  Anthony Rendon  2B

12/120  Nick Vincent  RP
13/127  Kevin Gausman  RP
13/130  Nate Eovaldi  SP
45/140  Mike Aviles  SS

Here’s what traded draft picks yielded:

No pre-draft trades

Several Adjustments before first game:
Dropped
11/110  Craig Breslow RP
13/130  Nate Eovaldi  SP
45/140  Mike Aviles  SS

Picked up
Ubaldo Jimenez
Charlie Furbush
Justin Ruggiano

Not having a 1st round and 4th pick was tough.  Reach on Venable and Grilli were not good picks.  Nice picks with Qualls and V-Mart late.  Poor pick with Breslow and then dropping him.  Could be tough to hit for power and the bullpen is poor.  .500 will be a challenge.
